Namaste !

I have been intimately involved with "Vismaya" from its stage of conception, germination and to its ultimate "birth". It is therefore my privilege and pleasure to say a few words on this project. This album is an integration of six songs and an Instrumental music, each with its own individuality and inimitability. The emotions, feelings, sentiments and passion depicted in these songs are varied and distinct. These characteristics have been amplified by supportive orchestration. I have provided a graphic narration to each of these songs and sincerely wish this would provide the relevant background to enjoy and appreciate the spirit of each song. Music, I believe is a synonym for aesthete and grace. “Vismaya – Created by an aesthete for an aesthete”

Vismaya Music

This Album consists of 6 songs and one instrumental piece. The Album depicts a "Day" in life or in other words the life itself. A set of Human emotions are chosen as the subjects for each of those songs. Hope you all will enjoy the music.

You don't always see an album which touches our innermost feelings. This is an album which will satisfy music lovers, especially the ones who really love good music with a 'soul'. Before you hear the music, read the theme for all the songs. You will be able to enjoy it more. It has got good 'kavitha', excellent music, a great ambience/mood for each of the song and ofcourse talented new singers with our favourite Srivalsan sir!!! Song 'Kanmaniye' is not going from my mind at all.. melodious tune with a nostalgic, beautiful sound of Urmila and most touching is the mood in which an expecting mother is waiting for their baby with love. Urmila has sung this song with the complete feeling. Lyrics for the complete album is amazing and blends very well with the music. 'Azhake' is another one which I liked very much. It takes us to a nostalgic mood with drenched earth's smell and beatiful silence after a heavy rain. Ponpulari is a typical lullaby with very strong lyrics and again a beautiful voice. For each of the song, I was able to enjoy the mood, and no doubt that this album is a blend of pure talents. Sreevalsan sir's sound and orchestration gives the completeness to this music. And Binu, I can't believe that this is your first Album. Congratulations, I am sure everyone who loves music will accept this album whole heartedly. I am waiting for more albums like this which touches the 'soul'. I definitely recommend this album to anyone who likes good music!!!

I came across this album song bein played in a shop and I was like wow!!!..Great melodies....Even after reaching back home, the song was still on my lips...Was just wondering how captive certain songs are.You just listen to them once and you start humming...The next thing I did was to buy the CD of Vismaya...and it was worth every penny....A very lovely album which touches all the phases in a day as well as the nostalgic moments of the singer. My personal favourite is Azhake Mazhayil Nanayum.. and Ponpulari, composed by Binu Panicker.Though this might be his first album.Looks like a promising talent in the Malayalam music industry. I would say it is a blend of music plus sound experiment based on the different moods. The audio clips used in this album would make you so nostalgic and take you to the typical Kerala mood, whenever and wherever you are.Maalini Madhubhaashini is yet another lovely song which triggers something inside me which I cannot describe...Nostalgia perhaps, but these songs are in a class of their own.

Kudos to the whole team behind this wonderful album, Vismaya. This album has something special. too nostalgic i would say. I'm a big fan of sreevalsan j menon. The whole mood of this album is really different. The song which i love most is the first one "neelagiriyude". I've never had a second thought of buying this as i have almost all albums of sreevalsan sir. After "Monsoon anuraga" and "Krishna" this is another wonderful piece of work..Keep up this great work and thanks for retaining the real values and traditional style of our music.
